This year I've resolved to make things more simple in my life & to be focused.
A large part of that will be knowing what I can fit in to my life and what I can't.
Starting from this week I'm scheduling in everything from housework, meal plans, gift buying, activities with both my boys, family time, catch ups with friends and family, time for my little shop & making things, solo time for both Mr and me and heaven forbid, some couple time with the Mr too.
Some of you would rather stick a needle in your eye than be so prescriptive with your daily goings on. I'm under no illusions, this won't be a perfectly executable plan but it's time for me to take control of this little train that has been running downhill fast.
Most likely we will be undertaking the final stages of renovating our house in the next few months too and I'll need some time and energy to devote to project managing that too. These things always need more of "you" than initially planned for.
It will mean that things are likely to be quiet around these parts. I'm not sure I have much to say that's new anyway!
Much love,
Cat
Sounds very similar to my diary! So far it's helping; fingers crossed it continues that way!
ReplyDeleteI always start out scheduling and go well until I get really bored of writing everything down and then I just embrace the chaos. Hope you do better, Cat! x
ReplyDeleteI like to pretend I'm just free and easy , but really I'm just too lazy to schedule my 'free time'.
ReplyDeleteThat said - my synchronised google calendar is pretty full so there isn't much free time TO schedule!
Hope it works out well Cat. xx
I think anything that puts you in the drivers seat, even a little, while you're navigating a new parenting stage is a good thing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Nic's book and have used lots of simply practical elements in my chaotic household. I haven't done an actual schedule, but that looks very helpful for when things get busier.
Good luck with it all lovely!!!
As far as it being quiet around here, well, speaking for myself, I'll take whatever posts you can manage to squeeze in!
